Acid And Alkali Resistant Conveying Hoses

Hengshui Zhehan Rubber & Plastic Products Co., Ltd. has been manufacturing industrial rubber hoses for corrosive fluid transfer for more than a decade. This Acid And Alkali Resistant Conveying Hoses range came from direct, ongoing conversations with chemical plants, wastewater treatment operators, and electroplating workshops — places where hose failure isn’t just an inconvenience, but a safety and production risk. We keep a range of standard sizes in stock and welcome you to discuss your operating conditions with our technical team before you order. A quick call or email now can save a lot of trouble later.

When strong acids and alkalis eat through ordinary hoses, the results are the same on every site — burst lines, chemical leaks, lost material, and repair downtime that hits your production schedule. Hengshui Zhehan’s Acid and Alkali Resistant Conveying Hose is built with a corrosion-resistant rubber lining and a multi-layer reinforcement structure. It is designed to significantly reduce replacement frequency and keep aggressive media contained. To get a quote tailored to your operating conditions, or to arrange a sample for trial, get in touch — we’ll help you put together a transfer line that matches the chemicals you work with every day.

Core Value

This Acid And Alkali Resistant Conveying Hoses are engineered to tackle the real problem of hose corrosion and premature failure in acid and alkali transfer. Starting from material selection, it is designed to prevent leaks and the constant replacement cycle that drives up costs. Supported by in-house rubber compounding capability, the hose handles a wide range of chemical concentrations and pressures. The result is less maintenance downtime and a more predictable cost structure for your fluid transfer operations. Backed by Hengshui’s established rubber industry supply chain, we deliver long-lasting, reliable piping solutions for corrosive services across multiple industries.

Where This Hose Is Used

Fine chemical industry: Loading, unloading, and transfer of raw acids and solvents such as hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, caustic soda, and various organic solvents.

Environmental wastewater treatment: Handling desulfurization waste liquid, acid pickling wastewater, and neutralizing chemical feed lines.

Electroplating and metallurgy: Transfer lines for metal pickling bath solutions, electroplating fluids, and corrosive mineral slurries.

New energy and lithium battery: Electrolyte delivery, acid and alkali cleaning solutions, and corrosive reagent transfer in formation workshops.

Pharmaceutical manufacturing: Transport of medical-grade acid and alkali reagents, raw material extraction fluids, and intermediate corrosive process fluids.

Household and industrial chemicals: Filling and transfer of detergent raw materials, inorganic salt solutions, and corrosive chemical auxiliaries.

What Makes This Hose Different

Special acid and alkali resistant inner tube compound

The inner tube uses a modified EPDM or butyl rubber formulation. It withstands long-term immersion in 98% sulfuric acid and 45% sodium hydroxide. After 720 hours of corrosion immersion testing, the volume swelling rate is typically 8% or less, effectively preventing liner swelling and seepage.

Multi-layer textile and steel reinforcement

A combination of cord wrapping and steel wire braiding provides dual reinforcement. Standard working pressures range from 1.0 MPa to 2.5 MPa, with burst pressure at least 3 times the rated working pressure. The hose resists pressure surges and impulse loading without blistering or cracking.

Weather and aging resistant cover

The outer cover is compounded to resist ozone and ultraviolet exposure. In outdoor, fully exposed service, the natural aging cycle extends to 24 months or more, and the surface remains free of cracking and peeling under normal use conditions.

Broad temperature operating range

The hose is usable from -35°C to 110°C. Under alternating hot and cold conditions, the change in stiffness is minimal. It stays flexible enough to handle without stiffening and cracking in sub-zero temperatures.

High flexibility for tight installations

The minimum bend radius is at least 6 times the nominal inner diameter, which makes routing much easier in cramped equipment layouts. Installation efficiency is typically improved by around 30% compared with stiffer alternatives, cutting labor time on site.

Safe Use and Maintenance

Safe operating practices:

Do not exceed the rated working pressure or chemical concentration limits. Avoid sharp bending, crushing, and contact with sharp objects that can damage the hose cover.

During installation, align fittings without forcing or twisting the hose. Use matched couplings tightened securely to prevent chemical seepage at the connections.

Extending the hose service life:

After use, flush the hose with clean water to remove residual acid or alkali liquids. Allowing chemicals to sit inside will accelerate liner corrosion.

When not in use, store the hose in a cool, ventilated warehouse away from environments with strong acid vapors, direct heat sources, and sunlight. Store it upright or coiled neatly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What chemicals can this Acid and Alkali Resistant Conveying Hose handle?

A: The inner tube is formulated to handle a broad range of acids and alkalis, including 98% sulfuric acid and 45% sodium hydroxide, as well as many organic solvents and process chemicals. For specific chemical resistance data and immersion test reports, just provide your chemical list and concentrations — we will share what we know and help you verify compatibility before you place an order.

Q: Can I get a sample for trial before committing to a large order?

A: Yes. We support small trial orders of 10–20 meters for new product evaluation. That way you can test the hose with your actual chemicals and operating conditions before scaling up.

Q: What is the minimum order quantity?

A: For standard stock sizes, the regular MOQ is 50 meters. For trial samples, we can accommodate smaller quantities. Just tell us your test requirements and we will work out a practical first shipment.

Q: Do you provide custom hose assemblies?

A: Absolutely. We customize inner diameters, pressure ratings, lengths, and connection types, including flanges and sanitary quick fittings. We can also print your company logo on the hose. Send us your specification, and we will provide a quote for the custom assembly.

Q: What warranty do you offer?

A: We provide a 12-month factory warranty. If a quality defect appears under normal operating conditions — not caused by mechanical damage or use outside the stated limits — we will arrange a replacement at no charge.

Q: How do I get a quote or request a sample?

A: Contact us directly by phone or online inquiry. Tell us your required inner diameter, working pressure, length per piece, connection type, and the chemicals you are handling. Our team will get back to you with pricing, lead time, and sampling options — usually within one business day. Hengshui Zhehan has focused on acid and alkali resistant hose production for over ten years, and we are here to help you find the right hose for the job.
