Abrasion-Resistant Sandblasting And Rust Removal Hose

In industrial sandblasting and surface preparation work, ordinary rubber hoses often fail quickly — they wear through, burst, or build up static, and frequent replacements drive up project costs and downtime. Hengshui Zhehan’s Abrasion-resistant Sandblasting and Rust Removal Hose is built with a high-wear-resistant specialty rubber inner layer and a multi-layer high-strength reinforcement structure. It’s designed to handle high-pressure abrasive media transfer, with built-in static dissipation, aging resistance, and high working pressure capability. It solves the common pipe and hose problems found in industrial surface treatment. We supply custom specifications and volume orders, and welcome inquiries from industrial clients worldwide for quotes and tailored solutions.

Core Positioning and Value

We focus on R&D and production of consumable hose products for industrial surface preparation. With refined manufacturing processes, we build abrasive blasting hoses that last longer and work safer, fitting most high-pressure blasting equipment globally.

The Abrasion-resistant Sandblasting and Rust Removal Hose is engineered to address known pain points — fast wear, poor pressure holding, early aging, and safety concerns — so equipment maintenance costs and consumable replacement frequency come down noticeably.

Backed by a mature production system and strict quality inspection, we supply long-lasting, reliable blasting hose solutions to shipyards, steel structure fabricators, heavy machinery workshops, and related industries.

Application Scenarios

This Abrasion-resistant Sandblasting and Rust Removal Hose suits harsh working conditions across multiple industries. It is widely used in industrial sandblasting, rust removal, and surface preparation:

Shipbuilding and repair – Hull, deck, and tank rust removal and old paint stripping. Withstands high-velocity steel grit and iron grit impact, and handles continuous heavy-duty use in shipyard conditions.

Steel structure projects – Descaling and rust removal on bridges, large steel frameworks, storage tanks, and industrial pipelines. Built for long-term outdoor operation in tough environments.

Machinery manufacturing – Deburring, rust removal, and surface cleaning on heavy machinery, cast parts, and machine tool components. Suitable for a range of abrasive grit sizes.

Mining and metallurgy – Surface descaling and strengthening of mining equipment and metallurgical structures. Tolerates dust, temperature swings, and resists premature cracking and aging.

Infrastructure renovation – Concrete surface roughening, stone blasting, and rust removal on historic structures. The hose’s flexibility helps when working at awkward angles and on complex job sites.

Core Advantages

The Abrasion-resistant Sandblasting and Rust Removal Hose combines an upgraded structure with carefully selected materials, delivering performance that goes well beyond ordinary industrial hose:

High-wear compound, extended service life – The inner layer uses a special NBR wear-resistant rubber with very low Akron abrasion loss. It stands up to long-term high-speed impact from steel grit, quartz sand, silicon carbide, and other hard abrasives. Service life is typically 3–5 times that of standard blasting hose, meaning far fewer change-outs.

High-pressure construction, safe and stable – Multiple layers of high-strength polyester cord reinforcement, tightly and evenly wound. Standard working pressure is 12 bar, with burst pressure no less than 36 bar. The hose resists crushing, kinking, and deformation under pressure, making it suitable for continuous high-pressure blasting.

Static-dissipating, safer in hazardous areas – The hose is compounded with a conductive rubber formulation that quickly bleeds off static charge generated during blasting. This prevents static build-up and sparking, helping meet safety requirements in flammable or explosive environments such as certain workshops and chemical plants.

Weather and aging resistance, wide working temperature – The outer cover is an NR/SBR blended rubber, offering resistance to ozone, UV, and oil. It works reliably from -40 °C to 70 °C. During long-term outdoor use, it resists cracking, chalking, and permanent deformation.

Flexible and easy to handle – Uniform wall thickness and a small bend radius mean the hose is less prone to kinking and easier to route through complex layouts. It’s lightweight enough to reduce operator fatigue and improve overall blasting efficiency on site.

How to Use and Maintain the Hose

Proper use and routine care will maximize the hose’s service life and keep the job safe.

Usage steps:

Before each job, inspect the hose thoroughly for cracks, bulges, damage, or loose couplings. Do not use a damaged hose under any circumstances.

When connecting to the blasting pot and nozzle, use proper hose clamps and tighten them securely to prevent media leakage or hose blow-off under pressure.

Before adding abrasive, run compressed air through the hose briefly to check for twists, air leaks, or blockages. Only then start feeding the abrasive material.

During blasting, avoid excessive stretching, running over the hose with heavy equipment, or bending it sharply. Keep it away from sharp edges and high-temperature surfaces.

After the job, use compressed air to clear any remaining abrasive from inside the hose. Leaving abrasive to sit inside will accelerate inner tube wear.

Precautions:

Never exceed the rated working pressure or temperature. Do not use this hose to convey strong acids, strong alkalis, or other corrosive media that can attack the rubber.

Check the hose regularly for wear and aging. If the inner tube is heavily worn or the outer cover is cracking, replace the hose immediately to avoid on-site safety risks.

Store the hose in a dry, ventilated area. Avoid long-term exposure to direct sunlight, rain, and heavy stacking. Keep it away from heat sources and chemicals.

This hose is designed for dry or slightly moist abrasives. Do not use it to convey media with high water or oil content, as that can accelerate wall wear beyond normal limits.
